Esther Katro is a multimedia journalist for KFSM, 5News,  which is the CBS affiliate and Tribune Station in Northwest Arkansas. She specializes in storytelling for broadcast and online media with an emphasis on live and on-the-scene reporting.

Prior to joining 5News, Esther wrote online in-depth news and feature stories for NBC's 11 Owned and Operated news stations, pioneering their first original online video content. She has also written for various Hearst Magazines, including Redbook, Cosmopolitan and Country Living.

 

She helped cover the Boston Marathon Bombings and the election of Pope Francis live from the control room at NBC News in New York.

Esther graduated from Temple University, with a degree in journalism, where she completed 15 internships across New York City, Washington D.C. and her hometown of Philadelphia.
